Police arrest Milton man for threatening his girlfriend
MILTON, Del. – A Milton man is behind bars after he reportedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend and threatened to shoot her.
Delaware State Police say they responded to a home on Bangor Lane around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. They learned that Kaleb Lemaire and his girlfriend got into an argument but it escalated and the 25-year-old apparently threatened to shoot her. His girlfriend ran away and was not physically hurt.
Police found the gun in the front yard and arrested Lemaire, who was sitting in a car next to the house.
Lemaire was brought to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:
- Possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony
- Aggravated menacing
- Terroristic threatening
- Possession of a firearm while under the influence
Lemaire was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #3 and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $68,000.00 secured bail.
