MSP arrest Willards man following hit and run crash

PITTSVILLE, Md. – A Willards man was arrested Tuesday night after he reportedly left the scene after causing a vehicle crash in Pittsville.

According to police, the incident happened at around 8:45 p.m., in the area of Gumboro Road and Casher Wells Road. It was learned that the at-fault vehicle, a Chevrolet Cruze, had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Further investigation revealed that the Chevrolet had failed to yield right-of-way to a Ford Fiesta that was traveling on Gumboro Road, ultimately colliding. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 20-year-old Noah Amedori-Lowry, was later found in Fruitland. Police say he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and was also driving on a revoked and suspended license.

Amedori-Lowry was held without bond. Two adults and two children in the Ford Fiesta suffered minor injuries and were taken to PRMC for treatment.
