Electrical boxes painted in Downtown Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Some new art is popping up throughout downtown, and it’s in places you may not expect.

Electrical boxes – that’s what the Salisbury Arts and Entertainment District has asked local artists to paint and decorate.

Artists were able to submit ideas to be painted, and then the Arts & Entertainment District would give them the green light.

One local artist tells 47 ABC he has taken this as an opportunity to bring more beauty into the city.

“If you ignore an electrical box when you walk by and you walk by something like this, there’s good chance you’re going to kind of look at it and based on what you see, there’s good chance it could kind of brighten up your day and that’s the whole point of why I wanted to do one, at least,” Brandon Bell said.

Anyone interested in painting a box can find more information on the Arts & Entertainment District’s website.
