Brandywine Valley SPCA participates in “Clear the Shelters” campaign

GEORGETOWN, Del. – More than 300 four-legged friends spent their first night with their forever families after the “Clear the Shelters” campaign on Saturday.

Dozens of people lined up as the Brandywine Valley SPCA opened their doors Saturday morning, looking for their perfect pet. The campaign was hosted by hundreds of participating shelters nationwide, with lowered or waived adoption fees for all animals.

This annual campaign is an effort to empty kennels and cages inside of shelters.
