Wicomico Co. Council swears in newest member

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Council swore in their newest member on Tuesday.

Nicole Acle was announced as the new representative for District 2 on Monday, after the council voted her in unanimously. Acle is a Salisbury resident and business owner, and says that while she feels she is more than capable and willing to catch up on the council’s mission to help Salisbury, one aspect that she is especially fighting for is the need to grow education in the county.

“I think education is the heart of socio-economic growth in this country. To bring new business in, the first thing we have to look at is education, graduation rates, funding, and I see that that is holding us back and I want to see this county grow,” said Acle.

Acle owns Medical Nutrition Therapies and Graceful Magnolia in Ocean City, and also serves as an executive board member for the Wicomico County Habitat for Humanity. She was voted in to fill the seat that had previously been vacated by Councilman Marc Kilmer last month.
