Summer Festival supports local nonprofits in Maryland
DENTON, Del. – Town officials are gearing up for the annual Caroline Summer Fest.
The event helps local non-profits on the shore get the money they need to thrive.
The two-day event, which takes place in Downtown Denton, is a chance for local nonprofits to connect with community members.
The festival includes all sorts of things like live music, vendors and food.
All proceeds collected will go to funding for local nonprofits.
It is an event the Mayor of Denton says plays a huge role for Caroline County.
“On the Eastern Shore funds are limited so we have to pull our resources and the best way to do that is to work together Caroline County and Denton we traditionally have limited resources and a lot of need, so the nonprofits help our community,” said Mayor Abby McNinch.
Nonprofits must sign up by next Friday by reaching out to the Town of Denton offices. The Caroline Summer Fest will take place August 16 and 17.
