Shelter searching for missing cat

MILFORD, Del. – A shelter for homeless veterans in Delaware is looking for their beloved four-legged friend, and they’re asking for your help.

Meet Freedom, a cat adopted by the Home of the Brave shelter in Milford.

Freedom quickly became a comfort to the residents there, even sleeping with them at night and spending her days outside with them.

But she wandered off on Sunday  and residents there haven’t seen her since.

The Director at the shelter tells 47 ABC that Freedom has never been gone this long, so residents there are a bit worried about her.

Now, they’re asking for everybody in the area to keep an eye out for Freedom, who is not micro-chipped.

“Everyone is worried about her, and the word is out everywhere, so we’re needing a little bit of help finding her and getting her back here,” Jessica Finan, Executive Director of Home for the Brave, said.

The Home of the Brave Shelter tells 47 ABC that if anyone sees or finds Freedom, that she is friendly, and they can drop her off at their house on Sharps Road in Milford, or give them a call at 302-424-1681.
