Salisbury man sentenced in home invasion case

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was sentenced last week on charges stemming from a 2018 home invasion.

Following a two day trial, 21-year-old Darrell Mainor was sentenced to 40 years behind bars on one count of first degree burglary and one count of first degree assault.

The charges date back to July 23, 2018, when Mainor broke into a residence in the 500 block of Christopher Street in Salisbury and physically assaulted two elderly victims, aged 81 and 90. One victim suffered broken facial bones as well as other injuries, while the second victim fell to the floor during the assault.
