Our friends of St. Jude are “Rollin’ For a Cure”
OCEAN CITY, Md. — Our very own, Erica Murphy, sat down with Teresa Stuber and Pam Miller from Friends of St. Jude of Delmarva to discuss the 2019 Rollin’ For A Cure event taking place in Ocean City on July 13th, 2019. They will be hosting a dice run, where motorcyclists pay an entry fee and then follow a prescribed course with checkpoints, at each of which dice are rolled and the result recorded. At the last checkpoint a winner is determined and prizes awarded.
The event will take place in West Ocean City on Saturday, July 13th. Registration opens 9 A.M. at the Salisbury Rommel Harley Davidson. Admission to enter is $25 per bike and $10 per additional rider. The first 50 bikes to register will receive a free 2019 t-shirt. The kickstands go up at 11 A.M. and the last bike in will be at 3:30 P.M. at Trader Lees Live in Ocean City.
Teresa, president of Friends of St. Jude of Delmarva, told us the event For your donation of $100 or greater your business name and logo will be printed on our 2018 Dice Run T-shirt. Proceeds collected will benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The goal is to find cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. With your help and help from others we will achieve this goal.
Pam, the secretary of Friends of St. Jude of Delmarva, told us the highest roll will receive $200 and the lowest roll will receive $50. And don’t forget, food, raffles, 50/50, music and fun will all be available for this amazing event with a cause. Also, this year, they will be raffling a 250 cc Honda Rebel. They say it’s a GREAT starter bike! She really is pretty. Tickets will go on sale now. You get 3 tickets for $25! The winner does not need to be present to win. It will be raffled on Saturday the 13th of July at Trader Lees Live. Pam and Teresa both added that the Worcester County Sheriff, Matthew Crisafulli and the Wicomico County Sheriff, Mike Lewis will be in water tanks, waiting to be dunked by Delmarva residents. If this doesn’t get you to come out, We don’t know what will!
