Organization looking for funds for pop-up restaurant renovation
SNOW HILL, Md. – A pop-up restaurant shop hoping to give young entrepreneurs more opportunities is raising funds for a building renovation.
The shop in Snow Hill that used to be Evelyn’s, but closed down years ago, has sat vacant. Changing Palette LLC is hoping to raise $12,000 to renovate its kitchen so they can offer the space to people who are interested in owning a restaurant.
Once the shop is up and running, the idea is to give young entrepreneurs a chance to run their restaurant for a short period of time at the location, and give people who live or visit Snow Hill a wide variety of food options to choose from.
“If you have a dream to open your own restaurant, this is the way for you to try it before you commit to a long term lease, or you go to buy a lot of very expensive equipment. So it’s a great way to try it before you buy it,” said Diana Nolte, the lead of Changing Palette LLC.
The hope is to have the renovation done, and the shop open, by the end of August.
