Ocean City Fire Department hosts Tools for Schools drive
OCEAN CITY, Md. – In Ocean City, firefighters are asking for your help to make sure students and teachers are prepared for the school year.
The Ocean City Fire Department launched their tools for school drive, a chance for community members to donate any school supplies: pencils, folders, even back packs, for local schools.
The Fire Department says although most of their work is aiding during emergencies, this is a chance for them to help the community in a different way.
[It’s] a way for the Ocean City Fire Department to not only serve our community, but to support it,” Ryan Whittington with the Fire Department said. “We want to make sure the teachers and students going back to school have the tools necessary start their school year.”
Anyone interested in donating can drop supplies off at any Ocean City Fire station.
