Local Restaurant Celebrating First Responders

Salisbury, Md.-First responders in the area are getting a big thank you today from a local restaurant Thursday night.

The Brew River restaurant is celebrating first responders for all they do to help the community.

Management said they want to pay respect to those who protect us and to show it, the eatery will have an extended happy hour, special drinks and free horderves which includes a chesapeake bay crab dip.

“We’re choosing to appreciate our first responders, we’ve done this before with nurses, teachers, so now were doing first responders,” Natalie Matthews, an event manager with the restaurant said. “They keep us safe, and we want to bring the community together.”

The celebration will go on until 8 p.m. Thursday, but the establishment said they put on charitable causes like this one often and will continue to show their appreciation for members who make the community a better place.
