Harrington woman charged with aggravated menacing following domestic dispute
HARRINGTON, Del. – A Harrington woman was arrested on aggravated menacing charges following a domestic incident last week.
Police say they were called to a residence in the 200 block of Friendship Village Drive shortly after 5:30 p.m. on July 2nd for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Investigation revealed that 27-year-old Roshelle Butler had gotten into an argument with an adult male victim in the residence, during which she allegedly displayed a knife and threatened to harm the victim.
The victim was able to flee the scene uninjured. There were also two small children in the residence at the time of the incident.
Police say that because there were children in the home and no other adults present, Butler was not immediately taken into custody so that she could care for the children until other family members arrived. Butler later turned herself into the Harrington Police Department and was charged with one count of aggravated menacing.
She was released on unsecured bond.
