Harrington man arrested on burglary, theft charges
HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police arrested a man on burglary and theft charges early Sunday morning.
At around 5:15 a.m., police were called to respond to a report of a business burglary on Commerce Street. On arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect forced their way into the business through a window and stole an unknown amount of money as well as a tablet.
Using fingerprints found at the scene, 24-year-old George Curtis was identified as the suspect. Curtis was later taken into custody at his residence in the 100 block of West Milby Street in Harrington without incident, and a computer check revealed that Curtis had several outstanding capiases out of Kent County.
Curtis was charged with third degree burglary and theft under $1,500 pertaining to the burglary, along with his capiases. He was issued $4,000 unsecured bond for the burglary and theft charges, and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a secured bond for his capiases.
