George Bailey Pleads Guilty

SUSSEX CO., Del. – In court, 31 year-old George Bailey admitted he had strangled his grandmother after she tripped and fell and then squeezed her neck until she was no longer breathing saying “you’re going to a better place.”

The crime happened just days after Bailey had been released from prison at his grandmothers home in Millsboro.

When asked why he choked his grandmother, Bailey said when he saw his grandmother fall to the ground he saw an opportunity to get high and be by himself.

69-year-old Lorraine Bradley was found 11 days later after a friend reported that she had not heard from her in several days.

Two dogs were also found dead in the home.

Bailey was charged with first-degree murder, theft, and animal cruelty.
