Easton Police searching for armed robber, clerk assaulted

EASTON, Md. – The Easton Police Department says it is looking for a man who robbed a gas station clerk at gunpoint, on Friday.

The robbery happened at Carroll’s Fuel, on 8276 Elliott Road, near the Walmart and Starbucks. According to officials, the clerk says a man entered the store with a handgun and demanded the cashier open the register. The cashier was reportedly assaulted and forced to open the register. The clerk ran to another part of the store and the robber took an unknown amount of cash before running away.
