Easton is Maryland’s newest Arts and Entertainment District
EASTON, Md. – It’s official, the Town of Easton is Maryland’s newest Arts and Entertainment District.
Discover Easton says the town will now offer marketing and tax-related incentives to help artists and art organizations develop and promote community involvement tourism and revitalization.
Easton is already one of the state’s leading arts destinations, and now, through this designation, the town hopes to build on it’s reputation with more opportunities for artists and arts organizations within the town’s borders.
Ross Benincasa with Discover Easton said, “It helps with expanding out into other areas as well so it’s gong to bring in new arts events, new arts businesse,s and then some new residential opportunities for artists in the area.”
Discover Easton tells 47ABC that the newly designated District will feature existing and new arts-related events like the Waterfowl Festival to the new Easton Arts District Culture Crossing, a monthly artisans market along the Easton rails-to-trails.
