Del. State Police arrest two in connection to thefts from vehicles

SUSSEX CO., Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two people this week in connection to multiple thefts from vehicles throughout Sussex County.

Earlier this month, troopers received multiple reports of thefts from motor vehicles in various developments in the Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Selbyville, and Frankford areas. The suspect(s) in these incidents reportedly stole several credit and debit cards and used them at businesses in Sussex County.

Further investigation led police to identify 27-year-old Jeffrey Imle and 24-year-old Alexandra Anderson as suspects in the thefts. At around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to Anderson’s home in the 34000 block of Virginia Drive in Frankford to conduct a warrant attempt, and located both Imle and Anderson inside. Initially neither one would exit the residence, but eventually were both taken into custody. Imle was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and a search of the residence resulted in the recovery of numerous stolen items.

Imle was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $49,013 secured bond on several counts each of identity theft, felony theft, unlawful use of a credit card, second and third degree conspiracy, criminal trespass, unlawful imprisonment, possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia.

Anderson was committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $50,513 secured bond on multiple counts each of identity theft, felony theft, second and third degree conspiracy, criminal trespass, and unlawful use of a credit card.
