Convoy of Hope comes to Delaware

DOVER, Del. – For the first time ever an event aimed at helping low-income families called the Convoy of Hope is coming to Dover this Saturday.

The event will be held at Legislative Mall in the downtown area.

Organizers say the event is a chance for families to get all sorts of resources like free health services, free haircuts and food.

The co-coordinator for this event Alyssa Babuca says local churches and businesses are participating to help reach as many families in need.

“You can’t hide that you have people that are impoverished, so it was something that was laid in my heart and the other coordinators that this is something that we need to do,” said Alyssa Babuca.

Convoy of Hope will take place on Saturday at 10 AM. Everything offered at the event will be free of charge.
