Armed robbery at Dover grocery store, police investigating
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Dover Save-A-Lot grocery store Wednesday night.
Just before 9 p.m., a suspect entered the store with a black handgun and demanded cash from an employee, who complied. The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash and was last seen running across S. Bay Road into the parking lot of the Blue Hen Corporate Center.
The suspect was described as a male in his twenties, wearing an opaque face mask, dark blue Polo brand hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and black shoes with a white sole.
