14th annual Taste of Cambridge event is right around the corner!

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The 14th annual Taste of Cambridge event is right around the corner!

This Saturday, thousands of people will pour into town to get a taste for the food and culture in Cambridge.

There may be even more visitors than usual this year thanks to the new Harriet Tubman mural, which is gaining national attention.

We’re told the overall goal of this event is to celebrate the Maryland blue crab!

This year, the Taste of Cambridge will feature several lively contests. The beloved professional crab picking contest will be making a comeback and now, amateurs will also get a shot at the crab picking contest.

Cambridge Main Street Executive Director Katie Clendaniel said, “So we have added an amateur crab picking contest to the professional crab picking contest so that kind of started last year when a few audience members jumped up on stage and tried to pick a crab really fast.”

Tickets to Taste of Cambridge are 30 dollars in advance or 35 dollars at the door, based on availability. Tickets normally sell out on the day of the event so organizers recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
