Verizon maintenance to affect phone service on Chincoteague Island Thursday night

CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, Va. – Verizon will be completing emergency maintenance work that will affect telephone service on Chincoteague Island tonight, June 28th.

We’re told the maintenance is scheduled to begin at midnight and last until approximately 2 a.m.

During this time frame, if you are unable to reach 9-1-1 services using normal landline or cellular service, you should call 757-336-6970.
