Two arrested on drug, firearms charges in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Two people were arrested late last month after an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs led to the discovery of crack cocaine and a handgun.

Members of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics out of a residence in the 100 block of Winterborn Lane in Salisbury. A search and seizure warrant was obtained and executed at the residence on May 22nd.

As a result, an amount of crack cocaine indicative of the intent to distribute was located, as well as a loaded handgun that had been reported stolen during a burglary.

One of the targets of the investigation, 20-year-old Michael Brown, is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess a regulated firearm. He was charged with possession with the intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and possession not marijuana.

The second target of the investigation, 20-year-old Lamiah Gattis, was charged with possession not marijuana.
