Two arrested in connection to multiple thefts from vehicles in Ocean View

OCEAN VIEW, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested two people in connection to several thefts from motor vehicles in the Ocean View area.

Troopers were called to the Bay Forest Community for reports of multiple thefts from motor vehicles that took place between June 22nd and 25th. Among the stolen items included cash, credit cards, prescriptions, and electronics.

Police were able to identify the suspects as 35-year-old Megan Parsons of Dagsboro and 35-year-old Harold Riley of Rehoboth Beach, after they reportedly used one of the stolen credit cards at the Ocean View Royal Farms.

Parsons and Riley were both taken into custody on Thursday at Parsons’ residence in the 30000 block of Track Lane in Dagsboro. Police also recovered some of the stolen property at the residence and also learned that additional stolen property had been sold at a local pawn shop.

Both were charged with multiple counts of theft, criminal trespass, identity theft, and more. Parsons was released on $20,503 unsecured bond, while Riley was committed to the Sussex Community Correctional Center on $5,000 secured bond for violation of probation.
