Somerset Co. house fire under investigation

EDEN, Md. – Maryland State Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of an early morning house fire in Eden.

Officials responded to the blaze at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, at 7549 Meadow Bridge Road. We’re told it took approximately 20 minutes to control the fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, however officials have learned that the fire began in the living room. Heavy fire damage has been estimated at $120,000.

One of the home’s occupants was taken to PRMC for treatment of smoke inhalation and has since been released. The American Red Cross is helping the occupants.
