Police investigating shooting at Del. adult lounge

ELLENDALE, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting at the Getaway Lounge, that happened after several fights broke out during a musical performance, early Saturday morning.

Troopers responded to the Lounge, at 12327 DuPont Boulevard, just after 1 a.m. on Saturday.

According to officials, the Lounge brought in several local rap artists to perform. But during the musical performance, several fights broke out inside the bar and then continued outside, where multiple groups were fighting at the same time.

During the fights, several gunshots were heard outside. Shortly after, a 38-year-old male victim was found in the parking lot with gunshot wounds in the lower extremity. It’s not clear what caused the fights in the first place. The victim was taken by EMS, with serious but non-life threatening injuries, to a local hospital.

There is no suspect information at this time.
