Police investigating armed robbery in Westover, clerk injured

 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Maryland State Police tell 47 ABC they are searching for the armed suspect who robbed a Dollar General in Westover, Sunday morning.

The incident happened before 11 a.m. at the store located at 8640 Crisfield Highway, just south of the Somerset County Health Department. Police tell 47 ABC the clerk was hit in the head and the suspect got away. It was not immediately clear if the suspect got away with any money or what the person of interest looks like.

Officials say they have a person of interest in the case and several witnesses are working with investigators to identify the suspect.
