Perdue holds 2nd annual military & vets community forum

SALISBURY, Md. – In Salisbury, members of the Perdue Veterans Associate Resource Group held their 2nd annual forum to bring the community and military resource groups together. Officials say the annual event is a perfect way to help connect active service members, and veterans to groups that offer aide and other services.  The services include transitional housing, health insurance, education help and other benefits. Event organizers say putting on forums like these is *critical* to make sure those who served our country are well taken care of.

“We want to make sure that they know that we love them, and that we look out for them, and that we will help them in any way that we can. As an army mom, I want to make sure I’m looking out for other people’s kids and other people’s moms and dads and know that they’re being cared for if they’re not close to them,” said Chair of the Perdue Veterans Associate Resource Group, Kim Huerta.
