Milton hosting first annual Pride Week

MILTON, Del. –  The town of Milton is kicking off its first annual Pride Week on Thursday, a celebration including events that put a positive spotlight on the LGBTQ community.

The Milton Theatre partnered with CAMP Rehoboth to host this first annual event in order to create a more accepting environment in Sussex County. Organizers say they’ve gotten a great response from the community and they hope this first annual event will help create a more inclusive community, emphasizing that everyone is welcome to attend.

“We will have all different types of people here this weekend. Some people will be coming for the Queen show just because they’re a Queen fan. But they’re not coming necessarily for pride. So it will kind of bring everyone together,” says Holly Murray, with the Milton Theatre.

The events are happening from Thursday to Sunday and include a pre-show dance party, movie screening of The Boy Erased, a tribute to Queen, a Drag Show and a musical celebration of life.

A portion of the ticket price to all events will be donated to the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center.
