Main Street Construction in Final Stages

SALISBURY, Md. – If you’ve been on Main Street in Salisbury recently, you probably noticed some major construction projects in the area. But now, Mayor Jake Day says this construction is nearing the end.

The construction started over two years ago to replace old pipelines underground and repave the roads.

And while it seems the project has been dragging on, Mayor Day says everything is running on schedule and will be completed on time.

“So now we’re about 3/5 of the way through that project, been working at it for two years, and there’s about a year left, year and a couple months left,” Day said.

The next phase of the project is unclear – so officials say residents should just continue to be patient.
