Investigation into sale of illegal drugs leads to charges for Salisbury man

SALISBURY, Md. – A drug investigation led to several charges for a Salisbury man late last month.

Members of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team conducted an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics from a residence in the 500 block of Dover Street in Salisbury. A search and seizure warrant was obtained for the residence, which was executed on May 24th with the assistance of the Salisbury Police Department.

During the search, officials located three firearms, one of which was stolen. Also inside the residence was packaging material, multiple scales, gang paraphernalia, and items indicative of CDS distribution.

The target of the investigation, 33-year-old Leo Darnell Shaw, is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess firearms. He was charged with three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession not marijuana, and numerous other gun related charges.
