Former Pocomoke City manager’s attorney requests mediation

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – 47 ABC has learned that former Pocomoke City manager Bobby Cowger’s attorney has submitted a request for mediation regarding the city’s decision to not reinstate him in his position.

Cowger’s attorney submitted a letter to the City’s attorney on Monday, requesting that retired Judge David Mitchell mediate the issue between the two parties. Judge Mitchell presided over the public hearing that took place last week, and we’re told that Cockey believes that the only outcome that would avoid division of the community would be produced by an “honest broker”.

47 ABC reached out to Pocomoke City regarding the letter, but they declined to comment.

Cowger’s attorney says the offer for mediation will be open for ten days.
