Federalsburg man arrested in connection to home invasion and stabbing

HURLOCK, Md. – A Federalsburg man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly broke into a Hurlock home and stabbed two people during the early morning hours.

Just after 3 a.m. Thursday, deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported home invasion and double stabbing at a residence at 5015 Williamsburg Church Road.

Further investigation revealed that 26-year-old Bobyto Saint Francklin of Federalsburg entered the home through an unlocked door and stabbed the 38-year-old male victim three times. A 21-year-old female also suffered a slash wound to her hand during the incident.

The male victim was taken to PRMC for treatment of his wounds, while the female was taken to Dorchester General for treatment of her injury.

Francklin was located a short time later while attempting to hide in the attack of a Federalsburg residence. He is charged with first and second degree attempted murder, two counts each of first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, breaking and entering with the intent to commit a crime of violence, breaking and entering with the intent to commit a first degree assault, and breaking and entering. He is being held without bond.
