Easton Police: Wife stabs husband over infidelity

EASTON, Md. – Easton Police say a woman is facing attempted murder charges after she reportedly stabbed her husband during an argument about infidelity.

Officers responded to the Greens apartment complex, on Saturday, for a report of a stabbing. They found the victim, Brian Koch, outside. According to reports, the 44-year-old was bleeding from his left arm.

Officers learned that Koch and his 42-year-old wife, Tara Sprouse, got into an argument over infidelity. Sprouse was reportedly so angry that she picked a kitchen knife and stabbed Koch in the upper bicep. He then turned and received two more small lacerations on the back of his right arm. The attack stopped and Koch went outside to call 911.

Sprouse was arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment. She is being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on no bond.

Koch was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Center where he was treated and released.
