College Corner : Get a fresh start with your college education at Wor-Wic

SALISBURY, Md. — Everyone gather around because we have a college education PSA. If you are looking to join a program at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, we have the right choice for you.

47 ABC’s Erica Murphy was joined by Stuart Gibbs, who is the academic fieldwork coordinator and instructor of the occupational therapy assistant program at Wor-Wic community college, to talk about the occupational therapy assistant program.

The occupational therapy assistant program builds on the skills and knowledge required for attainment of a certified occupational therapy assistant license, including clinical and service hours working directly with patients.

The program insists on teaching graduates how to engage and recognize the value of lifelong learning and understand physical and psychological development across the lifespan. Demonstrate collaborative relationships with occupational therapists and other health care team members. And will also, successfully complete the national occupational therapy assistant certification exam, and much more.
