Traffic stop leads to drug and other related charges for two
SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two people on drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, the DSP Sussex County Governor’s Task Force was in the Concord area when they observed a white Dodge Charger that was committing a traffic violation Middleford Road. A traffic stop was initiated just before the vehicle pulled into the Middleford Deli and a passenger, identified as 29-year-old Wilbur Doughty, jumped out of the vehicle and began fleeing on foot.
After a brief pursuit, troopers took Doughty into custody. Three bundles of suspected heroin were found on him, and a computer check revealed that he was a fugitive wanted out of Sussex County on multiple violation of probation and failure to appear charges.
It was then learned that the driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Nicole Millman, was wanted for violation of probation out of Kent County. She was also found to be in possession of two bundles of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Police seized approximately .266 grams of heroin from Doughty and approximately .119 grams from Millman.
Doughty was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $2,500 secured bond.
Millman was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and various traffic charges. She was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on her violation of probation capias.
