Sea Gull baseball knocked out in CAC semis; drop to PSU-Harrisburg

SALISBURY, Md.– In game three of their Capital Athletic Conference semi-final pod, Penn State-Harrisburg eliminated Salisbury, the regular season conference champ, 10-5.

On Friday, Salisbury finished the day 1-1, with a win against Southern Virginia and a loss to Penn State. On Saturday, the Gulls took their first matchup against PSU-Harrisburg, 26-9.

So in a, “loser goes home,” game three, Penn State put three runs on in the first inning and for the game, cranked three home runs. Mason Vogwill gets the win for Penn State on the mound, going seven innings and striking out five.

For Salisbury, Brad Hass finished with two RBIs, and Justin Meekins, Jimmy Monaghan and Jack Barry added one apiece.

Salisbury, who is currently ranked 6th in the country, will wait to see if they’re granted an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament.
