Salisbury to compete for National Title after moving past Tufts 14-11

Salisbury tops Tufts

ASHLAND, Va. – The seventh ranked Salisbury women’s lacrosse team is heading to the 2019 National Championship game after defeating fourth ranked Tufts 14-11 Saturday afternoon. The Sea Gulls trailed 1-0 after just 35 seconds of play but would soon bounce back, carrying an 8-6 lead into the half.

Sophomore Emma Skoglund tallied four goals on the day for Salisbury while Alexis Strobel dished out five assists. Skye Graham had six saves in net for the Sea Gulls.

Salisbury will battle third ranked Middlebury Sunday afternoon at 2:00p.m. for the National Title.
