Salisbury man sentenced on first degree assault charges
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was sentenced on Tuesday to 18 years behind bars for his role in a 2018 assault incident.
32-year-old Deangelo Stanley was found guilty of first and second degree assault, as well as reckless endangerment, back on March 18th. Sentencing was postponed pending completion of a pre-sentence investigation, which resulted in all charges merging into the first degree assault conviction for sentencing purposes.
The charges stem from an incident back on August 18, 2018, when Stanley and a co-conspirator assaulted a victim in the area of Church Street in Salisbury. According to police, the victim sustained permanent and life changing injuries as a result of the incident.
