Revitalization Begins in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. – If you’re visiting Millsboro any time soon– or if you live there — you may notice some construction happening.

That’s because the town revitalization project is finally underway.  The project gives crews the green light to repave some of the town’s sidewalks and upgrade water lines. They are also in the process of demolishing a vacant home and will build a new town hall in it’s place.  And we’re told the construction is expected to help the town keep up with its growing population.

“As you know Millsboro is growing, and with that growth we want to keep up with the times,” Assistant Town Manager Jamie Burk said.  “We’re seeing a tremendous growth out on the commercial sector, but we also have a quaint downtown corridor that we need to continue to improve.”

The repavement projects should be completed within a few months. As for the new town hall building, we’re told that will likely take a little while longer.
