POLICE: Two arrested in connection to several burglaries in Frankford

FRANKFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested 35 year old Andrew T. Benson of Bishopville, MD and 30 year old Tonsha McCray of Frankford on Friday in connection with multiple burglaries that occurred over the last week.
Between Monday, May 20th and Friday, May 24th, police say Troopers investigated a total of four burglaries that took place at homes on Roxana Rd. and Jones Rd. in Frankford. In each of the incidents, police say the suspects broke into structures like sheds, barns and trailers, before fleeing with assorted property.
During the course of the investigation, police say detectives were able to develop a green GMC pick-up with Maryland tags as a suspect vehicle in the burglaries. Through further investigation they were able to positively link Benson and McCray to the vehicle.
Police say on Friday at approximately 2:00 p.m., Troopers received information that a green pick-up truck matching the suspect vehicle description and that was occupied by two subjects matching the descriptions of Benson and McCray, was in the 35000 block of Pepper Rd. in Frankford.
Troopers were able to locate the vehicle, which was reportedly occupied by Benson and McCray and took them in to custody without incident. Both suspects were then taken to Troop 4 for further investigation. Police say the subsequent follow-up investigation confirmed the pair’s involvement in the burglaries and also determined that some of the stolen property was unlawfully pawned.
