Police searching for suspect in Dover nightclub shooting

DOVER, Del. – Dover police are investigating a shooting that sent a 21-year-old man to the hospital early Saturday morning.

According to police, the incident happened around 1:37 AM at the Allure Nightclub parking lot in Dover.

Police say they responded to a report of a large fight and person with a gun. When police arrived and were arresting a person with a gun, another fight reportedly broke out at the parking lot.

During that fight police say several shots were fired, and an onlooker was struck in the hip area. The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as a man with dreads, 5’10-11″, skinny build, with a red shirt.
