Parkside boys lacrosse hands rival Bennett first Bayside loss, keeps division title hopes alive
SALISBURY, Md.- Before the storms came down across the Eastern Shore, Parkside was able to hang on to beat city rival James M. Bennett, 12-10 on Thursday.
Never trailing in the game, the Rams held off a last minute surge from the Clippers with stout defense, forcing missed shots and turnovers.
Parkside was powered on offense by Dom Flora who netted four goals and Lucas Ingley who put home two goals and dished out four assists. Rashir Evans and Bailey Pilcahrd also finished with hat tricks for the Rams.
For JMB, they were led by Alex Sewell who finished with four goals and three assists for a game high seven points. Luke Nestor kept his impressive scoring streak alive, putting in another hat trick.
With the win, Parkside now has a chance to capture the Bayside South title against Stephen Decatur on Friday. If Parkside loses against the Seahawks, Bennett will be finish as the division leader.
