Outdoor ninja obstacle challenge coming to Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – A new attraction known as The Woodward Wrecktangle is opening up in Ocean City this summer.

Camp Woodward, with a location in Pennsylvania, created the “outdoor ninja obstacle challenge built for kids and adults”. According to Woodward’s website, the course offers ten unique and fun-filled obstacles. “It’s impossible not to have the best time ever as you’re competing with your friends to make it through. Progressive course options allow participants to choose their own route to match their ability level and improve with each run. Use skill, strength, creativity, and determination to complete the entire challenge.”

It’s not clear when the Wrecktangle will officially open in Ocean City, but it is located near the Town Hall on Baltimore Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets. The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce posted on Facebook, in February, that it was anticipating the course would open in April 2019. But the course is not officially open just yet.

The town’s Fire Department gave it a test run on Friday. Their Facebook page shared pictures saying, “Today our firefighters & paramedics spent time on The Woodward Wrecktangle, an outdoor ninja obstacle challenge. We planned for potential medical assistance and removal. We learned we are not ninjas & we should stick to the fire service!”

The obstacle course offers open sessions, as well as timed sessions. There was no immediate information available regarding pricing or hours that the Wrecktangle will be open. You can learn more about the obstacle course on Woodward’s website: click here.
