Ninja-style obstacle course opens in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – People in Ocean City celebrated the opening of the first-ever ninja-style obstacle course in the area.

The new attraction brought kids and families from across the shore to enjoy something a little different for the summer season.

The Ocean City partnered with Woodward Wrecktangle to bring the fun-filled course to an empty lot between City Hall and the skate park.

According to Mayor Rick Meehan, this course is also exciting for local businesses who will benefit from more visitors.

Meehan added, this course is all part of an initiative that helps bring more wellness to the area and it’s something for people of all ages to enjoy.

“The more things we have to offer in Ocean City the more diverse type of activities we have,” said Meehan.

“This is really part of a wellness tourism package where we have the kids, adults or whoever you know they’re out they’re exercising, they’re going through the course, they’re competing with other kids,” said Meehan.

Town officials told ROTC students from Stephen Decatur High School were the first to try out the new course, which is expected to stay open until October.
