New interim superintendent chosen for Dorchester County Public Schools

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A new interim superintendent has been selected for Dorchester County Public Schools.

The Board of Education announced on Friday that Dave Bromwell will become interim superintendent starting July 1st.

Bromwell has worked for Dorchester County Public Schools for the past 30 years.

He is currently serving as Principal of Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.

Bromwell said some of his top priorities as interim superintendent will be academics, safety, communication and school funding.

He said he is both excited and nervous to take on the new job.

“This is my community, and I guess, I’m pretty fortunate that I’ve been able to stay in Dorchester County Public Schools and evolve into superintendent position,” said Bromwell.

Bromwell said he also plans to help students find jobs after graduation.
