UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Millville crash
MILLVILLE, De. — Delaware state police are investigating a crash in Millville that took the life of an 81-year-old Pennsylvania woman Wednesday night.
Police say the accident happened around 8 p.m. along Roxana Rd SR-17 where a small car and an SUV crashed into one another.
The small car carrying four people was attempting to make a left turn across southbound Roxana Rd when it crossed into the path of an SUV.
The driver of the small car, a 57-year-old man and his front passenger, a 59-year old woman were not injured in the accident. The two back seat passengers received serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital. The fourth backseat passenger, identified as 81-year-old Sallie Anne Ziff of New Hope, PA, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 28 year-old woman, was not injured at all in the accident. As well as a front seat passenger and two children in the backseat.
Roxana Rd. was closed for more than an hour while police investigated and cleared the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
