Hajek nets game-winner, Milford sinks rival Lake Forest in OT
FELTON, Del.- Milford sophomore Landan Hajek netted his fifth, and most important, goal just minutes into overtime to sink rival Lake Forest 14-13, Wednesday night.
Down 7-5 at halftime, the Bucs would roar back in the second half, taking the lead in the 3rd quarter. They’d hold that lead until the fourth quarter when a furious Spartans run would send the game into extra time. Lake’s Kaidan Fullerton made it a one-goal game with four minutes to go, and Joshua Kennedy tied the game with less than 45 seconds to go.
In the four minute overtime, Hajek would waste no time, driving right around a pick and finishing from deep.
Milford moves to 6-4 with the win, and Lake drops to 6-5, suffering their second straight loss.
