Former Pocomoke City manager fighting back against termination

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – Former Pocomoke City manager Bobby Cowger is fighting back against his termination from his position.

On Friday, Cowger’s lawyer officially filed a request with the town to hold a public hearing after he was removed from his position last month for “unsatisfactory performance” according to Council members.

Attorney Robin Cockey says he wants the Mayor and Council to hear Cowger’s rebuttal to his removal, along with hearing the public’s input on his behalf.

Under the town’s charter, the town has 20 days to plan a hearing.
