DEVELOPING: Train derailment in Seaford, extensive damage
SEAFORD, Del. – A train derailed just before noon on Tuesday in Seaford, causing extensive damage to the road and train tracks.
Seaford Police tell 47 ABC, five cars derailed on South Porter Street with three completely overturned. South Porter Street, from Harrington Street to Nanticoke Avenue, will be shut down for a couple days. Officials say crews will have to repave the entire section.

Police did not immediately release a cause for the derailment but they say told the cars were carrying corn. Fortunately, there are no reports of any injuries or hazmat concerns.
